Losing Your Front Two Teeth

Losing Your Front Two Teeth

It’s one of your worst nightmares… your front two teeth are loose and need to come out. What do you do? Will you be able to smile?

We’ll show how implants SAVED this persons smile. The front teeth were loose and needed to be extracted as soon as possible. Luckily, dental implants can be placed immediately along with esthetic temporary teeth on the implants!

Problem – Loose Front Teeth

Both of the front teeth (marked with the blue arrow) broke loose form the jawbone and were very painful. The gums surrounding them are also swollen and irritated.

The patient didn’t want to lose their front teeth, but thankfully for dental implants they didn’t have to. Dental implants can provide the most esthetic, natural and longest lasting replacement for the etch that need to be extracted.

CT Planning for Dental Implants

The 3-D CT scan showed how our dentist replaced the two missing teeth with dental implants. Every implant completed at Mint Hill Dentistry are virtually planned with advanced 3-D technology and these implants were placed the SAME day as extracting the teeth. That means only one surgery is required!

Day of Surgery

In the before and after photos you can see even just the implant temporary teeth have provided a dramatic esthetic improvement for this patient’s smile. They will wait for three months while the implants heal and then the permanent abutments and crown will be made for the implant.

Post-Operation CT Scan

3-D technology can be used to ensure precise placement of the implant in the perfect position for the future crowns.

Final Result

The pictures show the final result with the crown on the implants. The final X-Ray shows excellent bone levels around the implants with good prosthetic fit of the abutments and the crown.
