The MHD Difference
Our program and our sedation curriculum is created specifically for NC dentists by NC Dentists. The small group nature of our course ensures that each participant gets 1 on 1 training. Once you complete our training, you will be a part of the MHD Sedation Alumni group with access to lifetime mentorship from your colleagues. Our faculty has a combined 56 years of experience with sedation dentistry.
Get to Know Us
Mint Hill Dentistry was founded in 1975 by Dr. Earle Sullivan and has been a fixture in the Charlotte community for the past 49 Years. With over 2,000 five-star Google reviews, MHD takes pride in providing an exceptional patient experience and the highest level of care. In 2014, Dr. Earle Sullivan’s son, Dr. David Sullivan, joined the practice. In 2023, Dr. David and Dr. Earle decided to start MHD Sedation Consulting after recognizing the need for more sedation-trained dentists in NC.
Dr. David Sullivan
Graduate of UNC School of Dentistry in 2013 and Graduate of Dental College of Georgia GPR program in 2014. Received residency training in IV Sedation. After residency, continued full time practice of IV Sedation with well over 1,000 cases completed since that time. Has held moderate conscious sedation license in NC since 2014. Holds adjunct faculty position at Dental College of Georgia and has mentored GPR residents in IV Sedation since 2016. Serves as sedation site inspector for NC Board. Member of ADSA (American Dental Society of Anesthesiology).
Dr. Earle Sullivan
Graduate of UNC School of Dentistry in 1975 and participation in Anesthesiology Residency from 1975-1976 in Washington, DC. Chief of Dentistry at Carolina’s Medical Center from 1994-1996 with O.R. Privileges from 1997-2017. Dr. Earle Sullivan has 30+ years of experience in Out Patient care and General Anesthesia. Dr. Sullivan has held an active moderate conscious sedation license in NC since 1995. Serves as sedation site inspector for NC Board and also serves on the Sedation Committee of the NC Board.
