Each year Mint Hill Dentistry sponsors the Grayson Lea Golf Tournament to help the family raise money to provide scholarships to soccer players at Piedmont High School. Grayson was a patient at our offices and we wanted to share a little more about the scholarships and the thank you note we received sharing more about this years winners.
Craig Lea established this fund in 2000 in memory of his son Grayson. The fund provides college scholarships to varsity soccer players who graduate from Piedmont High School in Monroe, North Carolina who have been students in good academic standing for at least two years.

For fifteen years, you have come together each May to help us remember and celebrate Grayson’s life, for which we are most humbled and grateful. Golfers, sponsors, donors and volunteers have enables us to give out 54 scholarships to Piedmont High School soccer players totaling $131,000 through these years!
This year, the fifteenth annual Grayson Lea Golf Tournament netted over $7,000 for the Scholarship Fund, allowing us to give each recipient a $4,000 scholarship for their four year education. As Ben, Connor, Michaela and Bryce head off to college this fall, please know that you have been a vital part of our mission, which continues to grow and bless us all.
