Mint Hill Dentists Took the Ice Bucket Challenge

Mint Hill Dentists Took the Ice Bucket Challenge

All four of our dentists at Mint Hill Dentistry and four other physicians in the same area took the Ice Bucket Challenge on Friday, September 18th at Mint Hill Dentistry to raise money The Joe Martin ALS Foundation.

Dr. Earle Sullivan

Dr. Earle Sullivan took the challenge when he attended a fundraiser in which, Nancy Frates, co-founder of the ALS Ice Bucket challenge, was speaking. The next day one of his patients Toni Bowyer, who has been diagnosed with ALS, was in for her appointment. Dr. Sullivan decided this would be a great way to support the local Joe Martin ALS Foundation, which provides support to local residents currently suffering from ALS.

On the sunny afternoon, all four dentists had the ice water dumped on them by members of the Mint Hill Dentistry staff and their children! Also in attendance were Dr. Steve Patty & Dr. Din Lam from Union Oral Surgery & Implant Center and Ashley McLean from Carolina Kids Dentistry.

People have become more familiar with ALS in the past year due to the amazing success of the ALS ice bucket challenge. Continuing to spread awareness and mission are important to helping those facing the disease and to finding a cure.
